Dooodolls has the honor of cooperating with prominent wedding and lifestyle photographer Anna-Rina Rahim to work on a lifestyle photo shoot of Dooodolls. Deep down we know this is a good combination of a team, with Anna’s striking poses of daring shots and Dooodolls unique pop culture appeal, something good must be at hand.

Indeed it was a fabulous and unforgettable experience for all. Anna’s passion and determinacy in her photo shooting has captured the perfect angles to depict the story of a feel good outing session, even if the weather was immensely hot. We received help from talented models as well, Edmund Tan and Kylie Chapman to live up the characters we had in mind- fun, loving and wild.

We want to thank M.A.C cosmetics for lending a hand in making sure the models are in best shape, and as well as Mooie Boutique (at Telawi Street, Bangsar) for offering their fashionable outfit to complete the picture. The comprehensive clothes collection of chic and trendy design is certainly a must have for all. Not to forget Ah Fat’s Vespa enthusiasts to be our vehicle sponsor of the day, who spiced up the atmosphere with their very own customized Vespa.

All in all, our heartiest gratitude to all who has participated and made this photo shoot a memorable and worth-while experience. We’re looking forward to more fresh ideas to connect Dooodolls with you, so feel free to comment.

One last thing.

A candid shot.

Guess what our Dooodolls designer Darren is looking at.

Disclaimer: Content of these photos are just for sneak-a-peek. No innocent Dooodolls were harmed during the photoshoot but there might be some form of illusion that Dooodolls were being tossed around or being piled up.

Creativity has no boundary. In order to surprise our audience with a different appearance, we made tiny figurines to enhance the facial features out of Jumping Clay. The outcome is simply intriguing because our characters, when they blend in the sharp skills of photography, an amazing chemistry occurs. The tiny figurines portraying their naughty and playful nature did a good job capturing the viewers’ attention by telling an interesting story in each photograph frame.

Dooodolls cupcakes, the “delicious” idea has recently sprouted out from a fan of Dooodolls and a master of bakery. It suddenly strikes us that Dooodolls being a part of the food industry isn’t a bad idea at all. Thus, Dooodolls figures made of brown sugar frosting patched on sugar-coated cupcake is born. As soon as it is being removed from the tray and to the display rack, the crowd starts teeming into our booth at STGCC. Dooodolls must have had an amazing luck to meet with JJ Lin Jun Jie, a prominent Singaporean Pop-Singer during the Toys and Comic Convention located in Singapore which was held in June 2008. JJ adores Numero most amongst the collection of Dooodolls, which was probably because Numero’s toothless smile and playful expression had sparked his interest. We were also given the opportunity to take a picture of him holding Numero with a “kawaii” look.

Serene Cheam, the young, beautiful and talented local singer’s soulful and expressive voice has made its way into many young Malaysians’ hearts. The Malaysian-born singer, composer and producer has come out with her triangular album “I’m Not A Star” as a milestone of her rising career, in addition, Ninja holds the privilege to co-feature her album cover and also given as prizes to lucky winners. The main reason Serene chose Ninja was the mask of Ninja, similar to the mask she had used in her previous song recordings. On that note, Ninja has the cool and no-nonsense composure that exemplifies her attitude which she personally favors.

In addition, Dooodolls would like to congratulate Serene who had recently won the title of “Best Song Composer” in Yuxie Awards on 22 November. Her determination had broadened her publicity to other regions such as Taiwan and Australia. We wish you all the best, Serene!

On the other hand, Wan Elyas who casted in a recent hit in Malaysia, Dunia Baru The Movie, has down-to-earth and easy-going characteristics and is a frenzied fan of our Blinkey because of his twinkling eyes. Elyas with his breezy smile paid a friendly visit to our work shop and had a heart-to-heart chat with our designer.

Lomo World

“Don’t think, just shoot!” is the motto for Lomography since it was well-known for its random and unintentional snapshots. Unlike most conventional photographs, Lomo is crazily out of the box and creates a veiled effect on the graphics.

Lomography has completely given the Dooodolls character a new and eccentric look that will surely bring you into the deeper depths of the extraordinary Dooodolls world. You’ll find that Lomography has opened a door to Dooodolls various inner emotions.

The dark circle at four corners and brings out the pampered M. Micey’s blissful look.

The team has an unforgettable Lomographing experience at Cherating - a picturesque beach situated in Pahang East Coast along with five adorable and jubilant Dooodolls (Yes, there are five of them-from left first row are Ninja, Orange Butch; second row, Beary Fishy, Blur Blur and M.Micey)

Lomo photos is a kind of story telling, in this case, we know that they are on a trip to Cherating (enough said).

Saturated color used in this Lomo photo enhances the natural colors of the sky and clouds in the background.

Dooodolls symbolizes everlasting friendship and brings out the inner child in you. Peace.

The entertaining part of Lomo-graphing is a snap of a movement, giving us the thrill to abandon gravity once and for all.

This lomo photo has an efficient and unusual way to reflect M.Micey’s past, with the help of Photoshop

Dooodolls are able to convey messages through different context and people, like this-Victory is Ninja’s. Wonderful.

Lomography is easy to get addicted to, knowing this, Dooodolls help expand the possibilities.

Dooodolls love kids, and kids love Dooodolls.

With Lomo, it a cinch to show Dooodoll’s feelings. Placing him at a darkened corner and shooting from a low angles enhances his features.

top right: The chemistry is this Lomo photo is striking, and we love the warm and fuzzy feeling.

Our lomographers has successfully captured the look of pure enjoyment during Beary Fishy's stay at Cherating.

We even get a candid shot on Beary Fishy getting victimized.

With Lomo, we get a glimpse of other derange angles.

The even dark circle at the corner of this Lomo photo has emphasized on Blur Blur's expression.

~End~

Since Lomography came to life, perfect images aren’t so perfect anymore. Expensive cameras and concocted photo-shooting props are being dumped aside. More on Lomography.

Now, we are given a chance to explore the endless possibilities by combining the skills of our ecstatic Lomographers and the creativity of the Dooodolls designer. As a result, we came up with “Lomooo, the Dooodolls’ lomo”. See the original blog for this project.

Special thanks to Edmund, Reinert, Yunc, YMC, Lihooi, Ten10, Jeepeng, Rice and Jhunie for their passion in Dooodolls.
